First Business Brokers, Ltd., has been established since 1982 and is Southern Colorado's largest and most successful business brokerage office. We are affiliated with several national networks, and have an in-house database of over 1,700 buyers who have expressed an interest in acquiring a business. We have, to date, completed over 800 transactions covering a wide range of industries, and we are committed to providing our clients with the highest level of professionalism and service possible in the complex and specialized arena of business transfers. |

Ron V. Chernak, President
Prior to organizing First Business Brokers, Ltd., Ron practiced law with a 175-member law firm in Chicago. He has a CPA Certificate (Illinois), is a Colorado Real Estate Broker, a Certified Business Intermediary Fellowship status (the highest professional designation within the Business Brokerage industry), and is a Master Merger & Acquisitions Intermediary. He has extensive experience in contract and lease negotiations, financial planning, and financing. He is very active in many community activities, such as the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce (former Chairman of the Board), the Convention and Visitor's Bureau, and the Rotary Club. He also has served as the Chairman and/or Director of the Board for numerous business brokerage committees and organizations, including a national advisory committee on mergers and acquisitions. Ron also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Business Brokerage Association (IBBA), the premier industry trade association, with a membership of over 1,200 intermediaries in 22 countries, and Chairman of the M & A Source, the largest association of middle market intermediaries. |

Ron Brasch, Merger and Acquisition Specialist
Ron is one of a select group of business brokers in the nation holding the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation. His commitment to excellence, high energy, and ability has enabled Ron to represent clients in the transfer of $29,000,000 of business. These businesses have been in manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail. Ron brings to his clients over 30 years of experience in the fields of publishing and marketing. Prior to joining First Business Brokers, Ltd., Ron was a client, and the firm represented Ron in selling his 14 Relocation Guides operations throughout the Midwest, South, and Southwest. He is an active member of several trade and business groups. He holds an MBA and BA from the University of Michigan. |

Charlie Jones, Broker Associate
Prior to joining First Business Brokers Charlie was a business owner of a large construction rental company located in Kansas City. His decision to sell the business was predicated on an offer he received from a business broker representing his client. The process was his introduction to the field. Charlie’s business background includes the successful start up of several companies as well as assuming ownership of several existing companies. These businesses included retail, manufacturing and light industrial. His expertise in all areas of business ownership brings a true understanding of the business owners’ vantage point and challenges. He brings 30 years of entrepreneurial expertise to both the buyer and the seller. Charlie is a Kansas City native but calls Colorado home. His off-time passions include motorcycle riding, hiking, and snowshoeing with his wife of 29 years, Kathryn. |

Lynn Lage, Office Manager / Assistant to the President
Lynn has been with First Business Brokers, Ltd. since 1990. Hers is the voice you hear if you reach our voice mail or are placed on hold. She is a licensed real estate broker who manages all aspects of the administrative side of the office, from closings to payroll, as well as interacting with clients and making sure the office runs smoothly. |
